Fees

Hourly Fees

My current hourly rate for legal services is $200.00 per hour.

Contingent Fees

Personal injury, accident, insurance and sometimes other cases are most often handled by a contingency fee. The fee is "contingent" because there is no fee if there is no recovery. The fee is a percentage of the "net" recovery after deduction of case and litigation costs. Basing the fee upon the "net" as appossed to the "total" or "gross" recovery results in a lower fee for the client. The fee usually used is 33 1/3%, although higher and lower fees have been agreed to depending upon the size of the case, chances of success and collectability from the responsible party(s).

Flat Fees

• Simple Wills - $125.00 each

• Trust Wills - $200.00 each

• Durable Power Of Attorney For Property - $50.00 each

• Durable Power Of Attorney For Health Care - $75.00 each (Note: Free forms to do this yourself are usually obtainable from your doctor's office or local hospital.)
 
• Deeds - $60.00 each plus recording costs

Written Fee Agreements

Written fee or "retainer" agreements are used in all matters where it is anticipated that the fee could exceed $1,000.00 and in all contingency fee cases. If you would like a sample hourly fee agreement or a sample contingent fee agreement, let me know by Email, and I'll send you a copy.
